NEVER BEFORE HAVE HELPERS AND MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS BEEN NEEDED SO MUCH.

Yes, the training profession has transformed: the focal points of our activities that we most believe in – personal influencing and active listening – have moved to the virtual space. We had to learn how to transfer knowledge, build trust and atmosphere via online platforms and we had to convert our practices that worked well in personal presence into chatroom tasks and games.

We react, change, exercise change, because this is necessary right now.
But there’s something that remained unchanged in the online space as well: the PRESENCE of the trainer. Although in a 2-dimensional form, but the trainer is there, is present, listens, asks questions, explains, gives feedback, smiles, encourages, supports, teaches in an entertaining way and tries to make the training experience-based.

This is something new, different, very different…but we’re getting used to it. 82% of the companies purchasing training programmes say that they plan to organise online training sessions after the pandemic as well, because those are cheaper, the employees can join from any location, and the practical application of the acquired knowledge is quicker.

THERE’S AN INCREASED NEED FOR US NOW. ONLINE, IN THE VIRTUAL SPACE, BUT INDEED THERE’S A HIGHER DEMAND FOR US, TRAINERS.

People need us to support them in building their coping strategies, finding new motivations and goals, in developing their nonviolent communication and conflict handling methods.

TASKS OF A TRAINER IN A NUTSHELL

  • You assess the client’s needs, interview the prospective participants and get to know their jobs. This is one of the most important parts of the process: for a few hours you can become an “employee” of different companies, you can get a taste of what and how they do, what they love and what they suffer from.
  • You design training materials based on the needs. You define from where you would like to take the participants to where, you identify what the starting point is, what they already have and what they would like to achieve. You create tools, tasks that give immediately applicable practices, games with aha-moments to complement the theoretical material, and you arrange all this into a clear training curve that’s easy to follow.
  • You prepare and deliver the training: you make it an experience and ensure that the participants make the most of it.
  • Companies in many cases require follow-up after the training, which may mean shadowing the participants and observe how they apply what they learnt (e.g. giving feedback, presentation techniques), or a discussion in the framework of a workshop or team coaching on how the participants managed to implement their new knowledge or skills and what blockages they still experience.

WHY IS THE PROFESSION OF TRAINERS SO ATTRACTIVE?

  • You decide what project you take, what specialisation you choose (e.g. personality development, skills development, leadership development, team building etc.).
  • You decide when and how much you work.
  • You continuously develop through designing different training materials. We, trainers, read a lot, participate in further development courses, and learn from each other.
  • You receive immediate feedback on your work and it’s a great feeling when you see how your enthusiasm, passion and knowledge inspire and support others.
  • You can have indirect impact on the lives of several people through developing the participants of a training: if, for example, you teach a manager how they can express sincere appreciation, you make their team more satisfied.
  • If you want to build a career as a trainer, you don’t have to change jobs at once, you can start working in the field as a second job./li>
  • You can finally achieve work-life balance, because after an intensive and rewarding day you can spend some days at home with collecting or writing training materials – and you can also fit some errands or a morning coffee at the patio in your schedule. 🙂
  • AND LET’S NOT FORGET THAT TRAINING IS ONE OF THE BEST PAID SECTORS, WE WORK FOR DAILY FEES OF 50,000-150,000 HUF (140 – 420 EUROS).

The following questions have probably occurred to you:

How effective is an online training compared to a classroom one?

Surely, personal presence, physical contact, the intimate atmosphere of getting together and coming up with a solution are all missing, but at this online train-the-trainer course you can experience that even in virtual space it’s possible to become connected, build trust, create fun breakout rooms, doodle on the virtual whiteboard and communicate via chat. During the training you receive a broad array of creative tools (Mentimeter, Jamboard, Linoit, Kahoot, etc.) that help you make your own training programmes interactive, dynamic and really enjoyable.
An online training is far not the same as a classroom one – in the ZOOM classroom everything is different. This is what we equip you with:
• you’ll be able to convert your existing classroom materials, practice tasks and games to the online platform;
• you’ll be able to draft new tasks and solution methods with the help of creative online tools;
• you’ll be able to deliver colourful, interactive and very much enjoyable training programmes and also to continuously involve participants and give professional feedback.

How do you ensure that fresh trainers can gain practical experience and how do you provide further support for them?

Vintage Academy – uniquely in the market – provides several types of support for their students:

• The participants receive materials, ppts and the Trainer’s Manual compiled by our trainers, a collection of all knowledge needed for delivering successful trainings.
• During the training the participants have the opportunity to participate at Vintage Academy’s public training programmes free of charge or at a discount price either as participants or as co-trainers.
• We organise public trainings after the train-the-trainer course which are designed and delivered by the new trainers – we support them by providing professional venue and marketing.
• We organise further training for trainers where the participants can learn additional training types (e.g. sales training, change management, situational leadership etc.). Participants who earned their certificates at our courses can get a discount from the fees of these further trainings.
• We recommend the trainers who completed our course to our business partners and involve them in projects and tenders as co-trainers.

How will I get clients as a trainer?

Numerous companies apply for training support, the relevant tenders will soon be announced, so you made the decision to become a trainer at the best possible time.
In the following two years, thousands of training days are going to be delivered, which requires a lot of enthusiastic trainers.
Many companies are looking for in-house trainers and the different consultancy companies are eager to find ready-for-action trainer contractors.

What certificate will I receive at the end of the training?

At the end of the training you’ll be issued a certificate that proves that you have completed the “development of trainer competencies” distance learning course.

Who do you recommend this training to? Do you think it’s for me?

We’re proud that our 80-hour course gives solid professional foundations for our students.
You’ll learn how to design and create trainings, training materials, you’ll continuously give presentations and give feedback to each other, you’ll learn “little” tricks like how to involve participants, how to lead and evaluate practical tasks and games, how to handle technology. You’ll be equipped with all ammunition to deliver self-awareness, communication, motivational, conflict management and team building trainings.
You can benefit from the programme if you, as a leader, would like to develop your team and you’d like to give presentations with more confidence.
If you’re working as a beginner trainer, you’ll be able to learn a lot of new techniques, ideas, practices and games, and then embed them into your own training programmes.
We had internal trainers, entrepreneurs, salespeople, wedding planners, reporters, conference speakers among our participants, who all became masters of influencing at our trainings.

Why should I choose this training?

• You can learn from four of the best professionals of the training market who have over 20 years of experience each and an impressive network. They regularly deliver trainings at companies like Generali, British Petrol, Provident, IBM or Hungarian Telekom.
• You receive all materials, ppts, descriptions for over 100 games and practice tasks and a Trainer’s Manual compiled by us.
• We provide practice opportunities and further development, we don’t let go of your hand at the end of the training. We provide support in starting your new career and building your own business.
• So far we have trained more than 300 satisfied trainers, the majority of whom already work as freelance or in-house trainers at large multinational companies.
• The atmosphere at our trainings is always fantastic: although we work hard, we still laugh a lot and have fun. This is guaranteed, because Erika, Gyuri, Ani and Zsuzsi always put their hearts into the trainings and we have brilliant groups coming together, where the members treat each other with acceptance, empathy and support.
• We deliver the best value for money in the market.

Where can I get a foretaste of the training?

Prior to each training we organise a free 2-hour demonstration without any obligation, so you can get an impression on what the atmosphere and the professional background are like.

Date and time of the free online demonstration:

8th April 2021, Thursday, 17:00-18:30

The demonstration is free, but registration is required.
